DEPARTMENT: Customer Service

This position description identifies the major responsibilities of this job.  It does not include all aspects of the position such as the potential additional duties assigned by Manager  and the requirement for flexibility in helping others for the company's overall benefit.


This position supports a leadership role on all field service activities that will assist other technicians on service projects. There will be a minimum 40% travel required per year. This position will carry a broad range of expertise across mechanical and electrical applications to advance company objectives in full service capacity. This position will support company revenue and cost reduction objectives.


  • Oversee training of new field service technicians that covers practices and procedures across all FMH equipment that results in the ability to work independently on various service events. Candidate must work be able to read and interpret blue prints, be results oriented and able to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to use considerable independent judgment without compromising safety, product quality or company policies.
  • Oversee all aspects of service projects that include equipment installation, testing, and commissioning of  FMH Conveyor equipment.
  • Provide technical support and provide problems resolution on multiple levels of system integration.  
  • Manage all aspects of project planning to meet customer completion dates. This includes frequent interaction with resources to insure requirements are successfully align with project requirements.
  • Prepare all project documentation prior project start dates.
  • Schedule Equipment Maintenance Program and coordinate part replacement.  .
  • Identify cost reduction items through equipment design improvements or time savings opportunities through various field service events by working closely with engineering and manufacturing to initiate these improvements
  • Promote spare parts sales and Equipment Maintenance Programs.




  •          Have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management.
  •          Computer skills that include advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  •          Advance RS Logics capabilities for equipment setup and troubleshooting to advance service integration
  •          Responsible for scheduling equipment that supports various service projects.
  •          Responsible for preparing project pre-task check- list that include health and safety requirements.  
  •          Provide outlines for Integration projects
  •          Maintain reports on customer telephone support that identifies cause and correction actions
  •          Responsible for periodic equipment audits at customer sites.
  •          Coordinate EMP service reports that is provide the customer.  
  •          Maintain and update the customer service manual that serves as a training tool for field service technicians.
